Description: Rare 1970s Slingerland 8 Lug 5.5 x 14 Snare Drum WMP TDR gut strainer Description Here's a rare late 70s era Slingerland 5.5 x 14, 5 ply maple sound king snare drum with TDR gut strainer, stick saver hoops, etc. Essentially the 8 lug version of the Buddy Rich model from this period. At some point someone put a stain finish on the drum. The majority of the stain was removed from the interior. Drum has been wrapped in WMP from precision drum Co. The rewrap looks nice however there is a couple air bubbles that caused slight gap near the bearing edge in a couple spots. Bearing edges are sharp, drum, and hoops are round. All the parts to the drum are original and intact including the adjustable screws and blocks for the TDR gut strainer. Two of the gut wires need to be reattached to the butt end.
