Renowned as a hardy and versatile machine, the P-47 could carry up to 2,500 pounds of external ordnance in addition to its eight .50 caliber machine guns. Propelled by the stalwart R-2800 Double Wasp engine that also powered the F4U Corsair, F7F Tigercat, and many other aircraft, the P-47 was one of the fastest and heaviest single engine fighters of the war, seeing service in all theaters of the war as a bomber escort, reliable ground attack platform, and lethal dogfighter. The Nexa P-47 is a .46 – .55 size electric or gas option scale series warbird with a 1500mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered with a fuel-resistant covering. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes flaps, painted pilot, machine gun, antenna and other scale details.
