Description: Set of 6 Cocktail Napkins Vintage Linen Embroidered Tropical Jamaican Life 6x 8.5 Beautiful set of vintage handmade cloth napkins from the islands of Jamaica. Set is vintage but brand new, never used. We believe this is an item from my father-in-law's extensive world travels for work from late 1970s to 2000. They are currently downsizing. Item has been in storage for years. Comes from smoke-free environment. Linen napkins are hand embroidered with scenes of Islander life by the women of the Womens League Allsides Workroom. The Allsides Workroom was founded in the 1930s in Jamaica, with the intent of providing a source of income for the impoverished women on the island, but by 2000, the workroom was reported to have closed. The piece is in excellent condition. Rare find. Please see photos as I do my best to accurately convey condition.
