Description: This vintage sterling silver grapefruit spoon has a gold washed bowl that is narrow— designed to easily segment fruit. It’s marked 1897 which I believe is the original manufacturer time frame but not necessarily the date of this spoon but I’m not sure. I have not polished the bowl because a gold wash can be very delicate, so a bit of tarnish shows on the bowl but could removed; a personal choice. The tarnish is more minimal than depicted—so many reflections when photographing silver and curved surfaces. Otherwise it is in terrific vintage condition with no monogram. It measures 5.5”.
