Description: This listing is for: 200 triops cancriformis EGGS in sand mixture. The mixture will be in a small ziplock bag. Their eggs are small. It will not look like a lot. Also, do not expect to hatch out 200 triops. You will not have 200 adults from 200 eggs. My triops colony have not hatched any males. I will assume that the eggs will only hatch females as well. Hatching instructions: I use a 6qt shoe box with a layer of sand and a catappa leaf. About 2 inches of tap water and a bright LED light. I suggest to try hatching using 1/4 the mixture, so you have multiple attempts. Put in the amount of sand mixture you want and turn on the LED light. Keep it on. You will begin seeing small orange/white specks jumping around the water between 24-48 hours. They do not need to be fed for the first 24 hours. After this time has passed, feed daily very small amounts of spirulina powder. When triops begin looking like the miniature versions of the adults, begin feeding small amounts of crushed fish food. The care remains the same at this point. Change 1/2 the water when it looks cloudy and have their molts. Triops cancriformis compared to triops longicaudatus, these take longer to hatch, longer to grow, and longer to mature. However, triops cancriformis have shown way less cannibalism even with big size differences and live longer. Will be shipped in an envelope.
