Description: Unique Antique Original Ink Wash Painting of Heron 1885 Carved Rosewood Frame Antique, framed ink wash painting of a heron, signed E.A.K. Beautifully rendered Heron standing on one leg, with head tilted towards the sky and a sly expression, surrounded by natural foliage. Some foxing around outer edges due to age and exposure to the elements. Frame is most probably rosewood with deeply carved pattern of leafy acorns around edges. Beautiful patina of age with deep caramel coloration. Two small areas of missing outer wood (inner layer still there); please see two photos showing these areas. Very decorative period piece.
