Description: Up for bid is a small Chinese pottery vase, ancient-looking but probably not. The vase is just under 6 inches tall by about 3 7/8 inches in diameter. It is hand turned of red clay, visible in the interior. It has a black neck and a yellow body, with a green band at the shoulder and multicolored flowers around the lower half. Much of the decoration is incised, with some irregular horizontal grooves above the foot. The foot is slightly domes and rough. There are no marks. It has the look of an excavated item. Condition on the piece is good. There are some chips to the foot rim, but they look like they were there when it was made. It rocks a bit on its foot. An attractive little vase.
