Description: Through the years, band members have often times released solo albums. Sometimes while still in that band, other times after they left the band. Some of those albums turn out great, and others not so much. Today we look at EIGHT artists who came from other bands, and the projects that they released. EIGHT different albums on CD! We start with Chris Robinson. Brother of Rich Robinson, and both of The Black Crowes. Chris released his first solo album in 2002. And it's actually really, really good! The first press copies added a DVD of the making of this classic, and even features Chris performing a few acoustic performances live. Both discs look new, and are shiny and clean. Digipak case has a little light wear on it, but nothing bad. Next up is the band Box of Frogs. Featuring members of The Yardbirds! These guys only released two studio albums, the debut in '84 (FORTY years ago!), and a follow-up in '86. Today we can listen to the first effort, and the fantastic song "Back Where I Started". Check out that video, it's awesome! Disc looks good, but has a few surface marks on it. Nothing too bad, or that will affect play. Case looks new. Paul Rodgers started in Free, then formed Bad Company with Free drummer Simon Kirke. After he left Bad Company, Paul was on his own, then formed The Firm with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin (more on those guys in a minute). Paul Rodgers was even in the band Queen for a little while (and one studio album)! Paul enlisted the help of MANY of his guitarist friends for the album 'Muddy Waters Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters'. Guys like Slash, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Neil Schon, and more are playing their hearts out, while Paul sings like few others ever could! Disc looks good, but with a few light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, or that will affect play. Case looks new. Michael Monroe is from the sleaze hard rock and heavy metal glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, a Finnish group that broke up many years ago. Singer Monroe released solo albums from '87 to '22. He's here with his second album, released in 1989. Titled 'Not Fakin' It', it's actually awesome! The big hit is "Dead, Jail or Rock 'n' Roll', and the video stars Axl Rose from G'N'R. Disc is in good condition, with only a few light surface marks on it. Nothing bad or that will affect play. Case looks great. Next up is Roger Waters, from Pink Floyd. He attempted to break up Pink Floyd in the 80s, and wanted everyone else to move on. The rest of the band did NOT, however, feel the same way, so they carried on without him. While Floyd was releasing their 90s albums, Waters was releasing stuff like this, titled 'Radio K.A.O.S.', and it features guests such as Paul Carrack and Clare Torry (who sang lead vocals on Pink Floyd's "Great Gig in the Sky", on the 'Dark Side of the Moon' album), as well as several others. It's strange and wonderful, in other words, typical Roger Waters! Disc looks great, with only a couple of very light surface marks on it. Case looks new. Another Roger is Roger Glover, from Deep Purple. Glover is here with a two album combo CD. It combines both 1978's album 'Elements', as well as the FORTY year old album 'Mask', from '84. BOTH albums on one CD! Disc looks new, and is shiny and clean. Case also looks new. Last Roger, I promise! In 1984, another FORTY year old classic came out. Supertramp singer, songwriter, and guitar player Roger Hodgson released his first solo album, and titled it 'In the Eye of the Storm'. It features a hit song (sort of a hit) called "Had a Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy)". The song is nearly eight and a half minutes long, so an edited version was sent to radio stations. The video for this song is really cool. Disc looks new, and is shiny and clean. Case also looks new. And we'll end with The Firm, featuring both Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page from The Yardbirds AND Led Zeppelin (he even did an album with David Coverdale later on)! This is the second effort from The Firm. The first album is great, but the second really gets cooking, and is awesome! The band began to gel as a unit, and sounds amazing on this classic album. The songs are great, the production is clean, and it's worth having a copy in your collection. Disc looks good, with only a few light surface marks on it. Nothing bad or that will affect play. Case looks good. Grab this eight pack bundle of cool solo projects, or side projects, from some of the best rock artists of the last several decades!
