Description: This porcelain shallow bowl or 'basin' was the under plate for a pitcher when it was first sold by Brinn's store in Pittsburgh.The bowl was made and handpainted in Japan. It features 3 roses - 1 each light pink, rose pink and yellow and 2 pink rosebuds.The rum has gold trim. The plate is stamped T-1153 which is the designation for the original set. It retains the original Brinn's sticker. The diameter is 9 inches and depth 2 inches. This is more of a decorative item rather than a serving dish. It looks lovely as a display piece. You might use it for fresh fruit (bananas, grapes, tangerines). It has the old fashioned look of fine Victorian porcelain.
