Description: This is a Vintage 1980 North American Flying Disc Series - 3 Frisbee Disc Set - New. Blue/Gold hot stamp on unpigmented plastic. This 3 disc set (80C, 50E, and 40F molds) commemorated the 1980 North American Flying Disc Series of tournaments: Qualifying tournaments for the prestigious 1980 World Frisbee Disc Championships in the Rose Bowl. This was the first year that the series allowed non-Wham-O discs to be used in competition, which ultimately made for a much more competitive atmosphere between manufacturers of quality flying discs, going forward. The annual NAS discs featured a prominent player on the hot stamp each year, and in 1980 it was Jay Beukelman of Portland, Oregon, doing the honors. “The Beuk!” This set is in new, never thrown, never delayed condition. There are some very minor signs of storage, but overall, the condition of all three discs is excellent. Thanks for looking!
