Description: Eye catching vintage, 1979, original oil pastel drawing depicting a bright and colorful portrait of a young man. Very well done with aggressive but controlled lines. Medium is oil pastels on handlaid paper done in an Expressionist style. Signed and dated in the bottom left hand corner but I can not make out the artist’s name; quite worthy of further research. Protected behind glass, matted and framed in its original molded wood frame. Backed with brown paper and ready to hang. Retains vintage Holyoke, MA art gallery label on reverse side. Provenance comes from the estate of the art dealer who once owned said art gallery. In Excellent overall condition. Clean, crisp, bright and vibrant with no holes, rips, tears, damage or wear. No rubbing or pastel loss or residue on underside of glass. Frame and matting are clean and display quite handsomely. Measures 24 1/2” x 18 1/2” and 30 3/4” x 24 3/4” with the frame.
