Description: From the 1950's Lot of 5 Prepaid Consumer Sales Tax Stamp Ohio 3 count of 15 cent stamps1 count of 30 cent stamps1 count of 3 cent stamps Between 1935 and 1955, paper receipts merchants were required to buy from the state and give to consumers when the merchants charged them state sales tax. Consumers were encouraged to collect the receipts and give them to schools or charities. These organizations could then turn them in to the state and collect three per cent of the face value In good condition.
