Description: For sale is a Vintage Sargent No. 409C Smooth Plane with the Corrugated Sole. Early version with the Horseshoe lateral adjustment. Condition is very good. Shows signs of normal use, no abuse or damage. All adjustments move smoothly. Rosewood Handle and Knob are very nice. Oval trademark on the cutting iron. The lateral lever is stamped with the 1891 patent. It is the Horseshoe Lateral which is much less common.
