Description: OVERVIEW: Here’s a superb sterling silver brooch by the great jewelry artist Harold O’Connor. I contacted him when I first purchased this and he thought he made it around 1990. It is an oval shape with 3 areas that look to have eroded away or broken off. The silver has a textured oxidized surface and is decorated with countless 18K yellow gold granules. O’Connor uses the proper and difficult to master ancient granulation technique--fusing the pieces directly to the silver without the use of solder. A fine example of American jewelry art.
