Description: Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter. He was one of the main figures of the outlaw country subgenre that developed in the late 1960s as a reaction to the conservative restrictions of the Nashville sound. The critical success of his album Shotgun Willie (1973), combined with the critical and commercial success of Red Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), made Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music. Nelson uses a variety of music styles to create his own distinctive blend of country music, a hybrid of jazz, pop, blues, rock and folk. His "unique sound", which uses a "relaxed, behind-the-beat singing style and gut-string guitar" and his "nasal voice and jazzy, off-center phrasing", has been responsible for his wide appeal, and has made him a "vital icon in country music", influencing the "new country, new traditionalist, and alternative country movements of the "1980s and 1990's". The album up for bid is a 1982 release by Columbia Records and consists of 10 tracks, several of which are recognizable"covers" of several gendre, along with his hit "Always On My Mind". The album has a run time of 33+33+ minutes. The cover is in VG+ condition with only very mild signs of disc wear on the front and backcovers. All seams are intact and the corners are in VG+ condition. The artwork and graphics are sharp andvivid. The paper inner sleeve is original and intact. It contains photo of Willie on both sides and the lyricsto the title song. The recording has been cleaned, tested and recorded using Audacity. All tracks are free skipsand the sound is crisp and clear. The sound is strong and clear. There is mild background noise that consists of "clicks" but does not interfere with the music. The disc surfaces are free of scratches or scuffs. I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY. I do this in insure that I can give as accurate a description for each album I list.
