Description: This WW2 US Army USGI Colt M1911 M1911A1 5" .45 ACP Pistol Barrel is in good, clean condition overall but does show expected signs of age and service. The barrel is well marked with an "HS" as well as a "P" proof stamp, indicating War-Time production by High Standard. These barrels were used in M1911A1 pistols made by Ithaca, Remington Rand and Union Switch & Signal. The original blued finish is still mostly intact despite obvious evidence of wear. The bore is still in good condition, displaying strong grooves however there is expected "frost" present. The crown is clean to touch and no apparent marring can be noticed. The original barrel link has been removed and would need to be replaced before use. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
